Does anyone know a link to where I can get a free program that can shorten the length of mp3 files?

do this:
download a program called GoldWave and you can edit mp3s and wavs with it.
http://www.goldwaving.com/downloads/gwave508.exe
u will also need to download LameWin32
http://www.mp3-tech.org/software/encoders/lamewin32.exe
install those both and you can do what u needed to do before.
