Wallpaper help! Calling all Nextel Experts

Perhaps some other Nextel guru can shed some light.

It's been about 3 months since I played with ××××× and my i730, but I wanted
to upload some new wallpaper.

I cannot load any wallpaper to the phone via USB cable -- however I can
upload .wav ringtones.

I have checked the following

1) All .gif files are just that, not .GIF

2) All .gif files are 128 x 128 pixel or smaller - CLARIFICATION NEEDED - DOES THE FILE NEED TO BE EXACTLY 130 X 130? 129 X 129 OR 131 X 131 WON'T DUE? WHAT IS THE TOLERANCE +/- ON THE 130 X 130

3) I deleted all old wallpaper on the phone to ensure enough memory

4) Ensured I had a proper connection with the phone, as I said previously I
can upload ringtones

When I upload the files, the status bar runs left to right as normal and
when completed I get the message that all files were successfully uploaded.

What gives? Can anyone throw me a life line?

How big is the file size? They must be 16kb or less or they will not show up on the phone.

All file sizes are less than 16KB.

I want to reiterate that all my picture files fit the criteria required to download to the phone.

These are files that worked previously but for some reason now don't.

Does anyone have experience with this and have a solution, and not just guesses?

I've had people send me .gif's files known to work in an i730 and those wouldn't load either.

Anyway I resolved my problem by switching to webjal .03 and using the webjal patcher.

I wish I knew what happened to myLAJ and better yet how to fix it but oh well..........another day.
