Even though I pretty much plan on waiting for the next gen Treo to arrive I've got some quest's about the 600
1. Since the Treo600 supports SDIO, is it safe to assume that it'd support wifi? -has anyone tried this?
2. How is web browsing with the "blazer" browser? -any sites unaccessable (that you typically browse)? This browser allows to view regular websites...html, etc, right? can I still do wap?
3. GPRS is accessable anywhere?..as long as I have a cell signal?

1. No. The Treo does not support Wifi. The Wifi SD card does not work with it.
2. Most sites are readily accessible via Blazer. There are a few other web browsers which work well on the Treo too.
3. No. You can have a cell signal but not data.

Thanks!
New set of q's:
1. So, what CAN I use SDIO for???
2. If I can have cell, but no data... What areas have GPRS and which don't? - granted, I don't expect everyone to know EVERY areas that has it, but...I guess I'm asking "where do I look to find out?"
3. With my last PDA and phone, I had problems with...well, everything: stylus fell out constantly, pda crashed constantly, tapping on one part of the screen activated another, couldn't email with phone, spotty signal, etc, etc, etc... Has the treo been reliable for everyone?
Sorry for all the questions, but I wanna know if I'm gonna get a good product before I go dropping $5-600 on a phone/pda+accessories again.
THANKS!!!

1. The SDIO is for memory cards, mainly. There may be some more obscure uses, but 99% of users have a memory card in the slot.
2. If you have T-Mobile, you get GPRS pretty much everywhere you get a T-Mobile signal. I am also on T-Mobile and have always been able to get GPRS wherever I get a signal.
3. Treo has been reliable for me, none of the problems you mention (knock on wood).

1. The Treo 600 may have SDIO on paper, but it's essential memory-only. The only SD hardware I can remember was an FM radio module. Many people still cling to the hope that WiFi/BT cards are just around the corner, but this is naive. Still, having a 512 mb card is extremely useful.
2. Can't answer that -- I have Sprint.
3. The build quality has always been excellent. I did have a problem with my old Handspring model resetting every now and then, but haven't had that happen since replacing it with a newer PalmOne-branded model.
