Nokia 3300 wallpaper problems

I guess I am confused. I have saved a photoshop image at 128x128 72dpi (save for web jpeg) and tried to use it as my wallpaper on my 3300. I saved it to my webserver, downloaded it, and it doesn't fill the screen. I tried saving it as 256x256 per suggestion from this board somewhere and it still leaves space around the screen. I uploded the 256x256 version to www.jhonny.org/wap (image #309208 is the series 40 version) and got the same problem.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? How do I make it fit?

um...
try uploading it somewhere else like http://coolservice.dk or http://www.euploader.com

No good from euploader.com either. I get a white border all the way around the file.
This is my company phone and since it's crappy cingular we get charged per KB so I can't just keep trying to get this without pissing off one of my bosses. I really need to hear from someone who has had this problem and figured out what it was.
In the stickied "Wallpaper FAQ" thread it mentions this, but they said making it 256x256 instead of 128x128 solved it for them. That didn't work for me, so I'm looking for some other help.
