daydeal.com has the original oem housing, and that is probably going to be the best you'll get at this time...they do have lighted batterys though...that may be of interest to you.....

How hard is it to switching the housing..ive done the face plate

I just recently changed the housing on my girlfriends lg vx6000, and let me tell you....that was a pain in the A$$....2.5 hours of messing with small screws and having to be careful about touching circuts and not breaking ribbon cables....I did find out though that the ribbon cable that controls the LCD screen is actualy many different ribbon cables that when the phone is flipped open the different ribbons touch each other making the LCD screen work...that is something they fail to inform you about in the instructions.

After saying all that, her phone looks awesome, and she is extremely happy with it, so all in all, it seemed worth it.

Changing the housing for the 8900 is very easy after taking out the 4 screws behind the battery the phone pops open and everything just kinda falls out, but be carefull with the ribbon going from the lcd to the main board.
