In short, Sony Ericsson swears that you can get and receive emails on the p900, anytime, anywhere, and Cingular says they "don't support it." I'll be damned (and $800+ poorer) if I can't get this to work. Neither manufacturer is helpful, although I've spent hours on the phone with both. Anyone out there had a success with Cingular, the P900 and emails? If so, what did you do?

What you have to do is make it past Customer Service and contact tech support. Tell the customer service rep you were on the line with tech support and they had you call back when you had a full charge, it worked for me. Tell the tech that you purchased the phone "from the manufacturer" and that you were told that cingular would configure. Although they may not support the phone in your market, they do support the phone in others. What you want them to send you is:
an "OTA" SMS they will send you an OTA SMS to configure your WAP, SMS, and Picture mail settings. Also, if you go to www.sonyericsson.com they have a section that will allow you to setup your internet access.
