Siemens SL56 on T-Mobile?

I'm not happy with my Nokia 6610 I have on T-Mobile and really like the SL56. However, the SL56 is an AT&T phone, so it would have to be unlocked. Would the SL56 work on T-Mobile if I get an unlocked one? If I get it used, is there anything I need to make sure of before I but it (probably on eBay). Also, I read that the SL55 (the European version) works on GSM 900, 1800, and 1900 frequencies whereas the SL56 only works on GSM 850 and 1900. Does this make a big difference? Should I get the SL55 instead of the SL56? Thanks for your help.

tmobile is an 1900 mhz only carrier. so you could get either sl55 or sl56, or pretty much any phone that uses 1900 mhz and as long as the phone is unlocked. but i guess if you travel to overseas, it would be in your best interest to get an sl55.

I actually got one about a month ago to use it with my t-mobile easyspeak account. But i only used it for 2 weeks and never refill the card, if you want to buy it pm me an offer. Plus i got order a leather case for it too which is very cool.
