My phone died (or is dying.) I get the "Network search" message always now, I tried turning it off, taking battery out, nothing works.

Is there a key sequence to fix the "Network search" problem? A MANUAL set for Network? When I go to Phone Setup, under NETWORK all I get is "Fast Search"

I have Cingular service on the Siemens SL56

If don't use Auto network a lot of times your phone will not find a provider available if you happen to lose signal, you should keep in on Auto all the time. I use the Fast search as well but I've never had issues even when I was back on AWS. I do have the SL55 though but that shouldn't make a difference. If it keeps happening and you are at different locations it's possible that the phone may be kaputt!
