Debug questions for 5150

I recently water damaged my 6200, and after much fighting
with lockline (they wanted to replace it with a samsung a-460) i now have a new, well reconditioned, 5150.
Question 1:
When entering vocoder mode, it only gives me the option for 13K and EVRC. Note that the 6200 had options for other bitrates. When I attempt to change the vocoder the phone reboots, and it doesn't appear to have changed the setting when I go back to the menu. I don't remember this happening with the 6200. Is this normal?
Question 2:
When entering the Rate Set Section of the debug menu, it only gives me the option for 9.6K and 14.4K. The 6200 had selections that included async 9.6 - 14.4K (2G i assume) and packet 9.6 - 144/233K (3G I assume). Why so few choices on the 5150? This phone is supposed to be 3G voice correct (it has the 3G logo on the back)? Is it possible that these Rate Set options are just for data? This would make sense as on the 6200 I would not be able to connect to my laptop for internet connection if the rates were set to packet.
The version on the phone is 1.106SP
Any input would help ease my sole, and reassure me that I recieved a phone of equivelant quality to my 6200
. I MISS MY 6200.
Thanks

i had a 5150 that only had the 9.6 and 14.4
I had sprint change mine out for another cause it was bad
and the other had all the options
including 144/200 and 144..
the only diffference was the PRI version
software was both 1.106sp
maybe the pri give that menu option?

Yup, it's the PRI that needs to be changed to enable the other data speeds.

can the pri be changed on an existing 5150 at the sprint store?
