Can I buy the software cable at my local Verizon store? The same one that will allow me to upload MP3's etc?

Oh, and I know already that I can get a VX6000 cable from Ebay and sand it down, but I need it soon and was wondering if it's available without ordering it and having it shipped. I read in another thread that someone found one at Radio Shack... anyone else do this?

Also, is having the software cable the ONLY way to upload MP3s and Images from my computer to my phone?

i believe you can buy the vx6000 wire at radio shack. but u'd still have to sand it.

i think that is maybe what i'm going to do.

but other than that the only way to send files from your comp to your phone is via yournumber@vzwpix.com

you'd have to change the extension of the mp3 from .mp3 to .mid

and i heard somewhere it has to be under 190K's in size.

if you end up getting a legit vx7000 wire tell me.

when i went to verzion they tried telling me the vx7000 wire is the same as the vx6000 ( cause thats what it says in their computer systems) but i wasn't going to spend 40 bucks and then have to sand it down..

I tried the Vzwpix.... but I think I have to have an internet subscription on my phone to be able to get anything that I send to it thru that program.

yea its free to sign up for vzwpix.com tho

the only thing you'l pay for is the msg's (mp3s or pictures) that you send.

25 cents each.
