Anybody know how to get rid of the www.fido.ca that displays on the home screen? I've already gotten rid of Fido showing, but on the Fido v400, the Date never shows... Just www.fido.ca. Trying to help a buddy get rid of it.

yeah i have the V400 and the annoying FIDO and Fido URL at the top of my screen... let me know how you get rid of it once you find out... thanks..

after 3 hours of figuring it out, I got it myself.

Use Pk2man and XVI32 to do it.

PS: PK2Man will also take care of all those extra annoying pictures that you can't get rid of. Gonna also try to use it to change my startup/shutdown screens.

yeah that doesnt get rid of the FIDO.ca or FIDO banners... Fido does something different then other carriers

Actually, managed to get rid of both the Fido and the www.fido.ca. The only problem now is that the date is centered on the screen. Now I have to get rid of the date!

PLUS, my friend's phone (also a V400) has the justify layout function and I don't! ANNOYING!!!

hrmm.. no way.. cool.. well once you figure out how to completly remove the crap fido puts up there please let me know.. its one of my biggest pet peeves with this phone..

i also have the layout thing but all it doesnt it move it over to the left.. which looks worse then centered..

isnt the flex/firmware that controls that?? if you flash it to a unbranded it will not display that stuff!

ooh, that stuff just worries me. I don't have very good luck with stuff like that and I'm worried about screwing up my phone.

well i flashed/Flexed with TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.4AR / GI9V600000AA0E9 and i still got Fido and www.Fido.com so its not the firmware??? which makes zero sense?? any other ideas?
