MIDI ringtone caused the gx10i to crash?

Hi, downloaded a MIDI file to the sharp gx10i just earlier and it has crashed. I reseated the battery and rebooted the phone but its just on a white screen. I removed the SIM and its jus got the eggtimer and a white screen but the eggtimer has frozen also.
Any help greatly appreciated.
This phone is still in the first year of its contract with Vodafone, could I take it to a voda shop for repair?
