Please Help! Usb Cable Question

I just bought a usb cable off of ebay and I loaded the software it came with but when it was all done and i restarted my PC i plugged my LG VX 7000 into the cable and my computer shows it is plugged in. I dont know where to go to see my phone on my computer to get pics.
