Cingular Standby Screen

This question has probably been asked before...
I have a Cingular 7280, love it. But I am wondering if you can change the standby screen (that has the little Cingular dude saying "Be Safe").
Can it be done ?

Nope, can't be done. each carrier is branded carrier specific with their logo, probably has to do with each carrier subsidizing hardware costs hence locking their name/logo to their devices. FWIW I hear the Vodafone screensaver is really bad!

It's not really bad, it's just an eye-jarring red.
Rumour has it that user controllable screensavers are part of 4.0.
