i recently bought a hs820 for my motorola v80. for some reason i cant use any customized ringtones with the bluetooth, nor can i use the motorola locked pre-loaded onces! can anyone tell me why or how?

not possible when a headset is connected, only continental will ring!

I also recently got an hs820 for my v3 razr. I can pair it just fine and make calls right after doing so.

HOWEVER, after I turn off the hs820 and then turn it back on it doesn't reconnect, what's the deal? Anyone else have this problem?

In 'Bluetooth Setup' you have to leave Power 'On'

The power still is on, I'm powering down the bt headset, not the phone or the bluetooth on the phone.

I understand that. In your bluetooth link check your device history and handfree and make sure the headset is listed after you turn it off.

Yeah, it is. Usually what I do is delete the 820 from my device history and then re-pair it to get it to work again. Any more ideas or do you think this is a bum headset?

I'm having this SAME problem. my razr sees it and is connected, but wont beep in my ear and wont let me answer the call by pressing the button on the side of the headset. this is aggravating. am i doing something wrong? do i need to change a seeting in the phone? mind you the phone sees it and IS connected, just wont let me answer by using the button. i have to physically answer it at the phone.. please help

I've never had this problem and I've had the Razr and the HS820 for about 5 months. Not sure what your problem is.

hmm, well i'm kinda lost as well. it comes and goes. it seems like one day it will work fine. the next it wont work. i'm beginning to think it may be the headset.

any moto phone paired to a blue tooth headset will play continental ringtone, this is a limitation of the phone. not the headset. secondly, when you turn off the headset, you need to go into the blue tooth menu, handsfree, and highlight the wireless headset you wish to connect with the <select> button, simple and easy, no?
