How can my friends in the Phils send txt msgs to me for 1 peso per text, without my having to go to the Phils and purchasing a sim card. Is there a company here in CA that can do that service for me? I can just buy more load if it runs out. I can send text msgs to the Phils with my Nokia 8390 US cell but the cost of their sending me txt msg from the Phils is P18- so it limits their response to me. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Also, if I unlock my phone prior to going to the Phils, can I use the 8390 there and just buy a SIM card?

the only way you could use the phone over there is if the MHZ bands match up.....so if your phone is euro designed...then maybe...but if its usa designed...then no. as for the fisrt part...????...i dont have a clue. sorry
