When I got my Audiovox 8900 I was able to store 50 pictures in the PHOTO gallery.

Then I started adding ringtones and wallpapers. Uploaded ringtones into MEDIA gallery -- Tones, wallpapers into MEDIA gallery -- Images.

So now that I have a good number of ringtones and wallpapers my PHOTO gallery can only hold 24 pictures... What the F***??????

Do ringtones and wallpapers effect the number of photos you can have store in PHOTO gallery? If so why???

Your phone can only hold a certain amout of space, like your computer

So how do you know how much space you have left? And are you saying if I delete my ringtones and wallpapers I'll be able to store more pictures in my photo gallery?

yea pretty much...its like born2kill said, its like ur computer hard drive, when u put more ringtones and graphics, etc on, u wont be able to store as many pictures. so if u want more, delete ringtones, etc.

dude...the ringtones, especially if they're high quality and near the max of 100k, take up a lot of memory on your phone. you can check the memory by going to camera mode as if you were going to take a picture, theres a bar up top..thats your memory bar. delete a few ring tones and take some pics in medium size and medium resolution rather than all high quality and bigger sizes, if you plan on just using the pics on your phone the medium/small sizes are fine but if you plan on emailing them to yourself you'll need biggeer sizes, aiight

I have only 13 ringtones, 17 pictures I uploaded into the media gallery and 24 photos I took in the photo gallery. AND MY PHONE IS FULL? How wak is that?

haha, i think 13 tones is alot... you only need 1 at a time. ive got 4 tones, and like 5 wallpapers.

No it's better to have a different tone for each one of your homies so you know who's callin by the tone.

Heres the part that makes no sense:

I checked the bar that displays amount of memory (when you're taking a picture) and it was almost full.

I deleted several pictures I had put into my downloads folder with bitpim and checked the bar again and it didn't move one bit.

This tells me that space for downloads doesn't affect the photo gallery (camera pictures).

Why did I go from being able to store 50 to 24???????

Please help.
