8200 rings when charging

I had a wrong number call my phone at 3AM. I keep my phone set to vibrate mode during the week when I am at work. But I found out that when the phone is plugged into the charger, the vibrate is turned off and the ringer is on. I had to take the charger since the person wanted called back a couple of more times.
