hey, is it possible to unlocl my Lg l1200 from the cingular network, is their a chance it may screw up the whole thing, I still want cingular, but want to be able to use my phone even if I change service. so?

It should already be unlocked. Cingular leaves there World phones unlocked.

The rep at bestbuy said it was locked on to the cingular network, is their a way I can hack into that? or is it too risky?

And you trust the rep.

There have been many people here confirming that the cingular world phones are unlocked.

The way to test is try and put sim card from another carrier into the phone and see if it works.

Yes the L1200 is a world phone.

The L1200 is not on there but if you look at the specs of the phone it does GSM 800 (aka 850), 1800, 1900
