Since it seems you are in the us.. go to bestbuy, $5.99 - $9.99 gets you one...

US Cellular has them also for $3.99 each

ebay has them too

theyre called holograms (holo's for short)

he/she said personal picture, not the mass produced Hologram stickers.

it's pretty simple but requires to open you phone (and void warrenty).

the basic idea is to take apart the LCD from the phone or make gap big enough to fit a picture to be slided through the gap. You can put any picture, but from what i heard the best way to do it is if you scanned the photo and print it on a transparent sheet, cut it to size then place it behind the LCD.

can you do this with any phone?

I think so, as long as its a Backlit screen and not one of the EL Glow phones like a V60.

Or if you do put it on a transparent paper you could just put it on top of the LCD screen but behind the protecive plastic screen.

How well you can see it may depend on the color of the LED's and whether it's color or B&W picture...

depends on what kind of phone you have. you can either put it on top of the lcd screen or behind it. certain phones have a strong lcd backlit, so it works well when it's behind. i have one on my 5185i and also one on my 3390. for the 5185i, i had it behind the lcd which required taking the phone apart. it worked well on the 5185i since the backlit is strong, so the pic showed up very well and since i changed all my backlit. for my 3390, i had tried it behind, but wasn't showing up even changed to white backlit, so i had it in front. good thing abt keeping it behind the lcd is that the pic is "invisible" when the backlit is off and shows up when the lit is on. that's what i like, but couldn't do it on the 3390 since it had very weak backlit cause they're on the bottom.

if you decide to put it on top of the lcd (in front), edit the pic so it's not very dark before you print it or else it'll block all the words/nums on your screen. if you put it behind the lcd, you can print it a bit darker.

if you don't want to waste transparencies, don't cut the pic out yet (unless you are placing it behind the lcd). just print it and place it over the lcd and see what it looks like with the backlit on and off. if it's too dark/pale, use water and wash off the pic and print it again after you edit the pic. try to use a transparency that has a rougher surface. the smooth surface ones doens't print well.

best is to take it to a shop to do it cause they know what they're doing. i changed the lights on my lcd and keypad and added custom pic on both my 5185i and 3390.

I did this to my 8260. Worked out great.....pics up on http://briefcase.yahoo.com/aps_wireless_communications

Its a bad pic, but you get the idea. I'm still tryin to figure out how to do it with the 8265, 'cause the screen assembly is all riveted in place with the keyboard, ear piece and everything else. Anyone knows how to take this apart, i'd appreciate it.

liljaydz, is this what your talking about? I did this to my 8260. Easy enough to do, just finding the right opacity and printer settings was the tricky part. This is at 20% opacity, you can go up to 25% but any higher is too dark to see the screen. I used was Avery Ink Jet Transparentcies and a HP printer. The picture on top of the lcd screen and held in place from the faceplate pressing onto the lcd.
