K i am cluless on alot of this stuff but wanted to buy a data cable and figured it pry would also be a good idea to have software for it on xp-

is it necessary to buy software?

any suggestions on where to buy?

the best prices i found so far was $16 for the cable and $30 for the software(snap sync)- seems a little steep!

plz help

No, the drivers will come with the cable on a CD (can also be d/l off the web if needed. See the tutorials post here.)

Best prices I've seen are on Ebay. Seen cables as low as $1 (but shipping is $12.) Look for a cable that ships with CD that has "1000 ring tones" (he also has some other software on the CD and makes the best buy. ;-)
