just wondering for those who converted t616 to a t630 how would someone esle distinguish if it's a real t630 or a t616. Like my concern is that someone can sell you a t630 but actually it's just a t616 conversion. Thanx for your help

Very simple to detect. Go to the settings, display, contrast menu, and move the setting all the way to the right, and back all the way to the left. If the display remains legible, then it's "most likely" a real T630. A converted one will have problems with this test. If the display becomes illegible, take the battery out or turn off the phone, turn the phone back on and adjust the contrast settings to your liking.
Look for tampering of the sticker that shows model number, and IMEI on the back of the phone (behind the battery). All phones should have a sticker showing IMEI.

With some phones, theres apsolutely no way of telling unless it says somewhere on the hardware inside the phone. I converted my T610 to T630 but still kept it in the T610 housing, so it looks like a T610, but with better screen and T630 firmware. Other then the housing, theres apsolutely no way of telling. The contrast level does not screw up going up and down like the guy above said. It works perfect, in the status it says T630, so does in the secret menu. There's no IMEI sticker thing, so you can't see nuttin.
But to those that seriously need to know, T630 has apsolutely same hardware like T610 except the screen and housing, so if you change them on a T610 and put the original T630 ones, does it really matter if its original or conversion? Its all apsolutely the same! And should sell at same price as a T630 after converting.
I love my T610, ooops, I mean T630

well the phones have different frequency bands, so you should care which on you have (depending on location)
