Try a hard reset.

It'll erase all your data and restore it to its factory settings. A hot-sync will restore your data though.

Are you sure you used the right charger? "Hot and vibrating and...yellow" aren't exactly good symptoms. You could've toasted the battery with the wrong AC plug, which may happen during your unpacking.

how do i do a hard restart? and ya that might have happen is there any way to fix my battery *im posting for joey because hes ban at the moment*

Hard Reset:

1. Press and hold the power button.
2. While holding the power button press the reset button on the back.
3. Do not release the power button until the Palm Logo appears.
4. When you see the Palm logo release the power button.
5. Press the up button to erase all data.

as Ah Yum mentioned, those are not a good symptoms for your palm. either you are using wrong plug or there was a circuit aroud the battery (inside the palm)

i dont think the hard reset will work in this case

good luck

Maybe you can lead the retailer to believe that your Palm died of natural causes (I mean manufacture defect) and get the unit exchanged.
