Greetings.
As a soon to be cell phone owner, I am seeking some advice.
Current phones that are being considered are the LG TM520, Motorola's TM 270c and Samsung N370. Are there any other phones, equivalent to these, for similar or lesser price? How would you rank these (and other) phones?
In terms of a phonebook, I would like the phone to be able to sort entries alphabetically and have a good battery. The phone might be used to keep appointments/schedules. It would also only be used, I expect, 100-150 min/mo.
I have ruled out FIDO and Rogers. The Telephone Booth which recently opened in Cambridge is offering 25% off Telus phones. From a $$ point of view, this seems like a good deal. They also allow you to try the phone for 30 days and, if you're not satisfied, will give you your money back. BELL on the other hand won't give you a trial period.
According to the maps, all of Southern Ontario is digital, whereas Telus has more analog areas. However, since Telus uses BELL's network, should it not be all digital as well? A sales rep at BMobility stated that in some regions just outside of Kitchener (rural) Telus users would lose their signal while Bell would not. I found that odd. Any advice?
Furthermore, does anyone know of upcoming technology that might make the above phones obsolete in 3-5 years?
Thanks in advance.
