v600: Changing start-up/shut-down images

I was able to change my start up and power down sounds using BT, but how do I change the images, i.e. the motorola flower during startup? Thanks!

you use the program P2Kman to replace the files custwakeup.gif and custgoodbye.gif in the directory /a/. My theory on this is that, for some reason (don't ask me why) once you have changed the sounds, the startup image will not change, only the shutdown image will. I came to this conclusion in a very limited number of tests. The ONLY time I successfully got my startup image to work was when I replaced both image files without tinkering with the sounds first.

Perhaps if I reflash this v400 and try again I can retest that theory. Anyway, try replacing those image files and let me know how it goes. I'll wager that your shutdown screen works just fine, but that you have no startup animated at all, just the stationary flower (if you have that enabled).

OH yeah, the mehtod I just described is over a usb cable. I'm not sure that it can be done via bluetooth. I've tried placing the images in the root directory while using MPT, and I got no results.

Is there any special symbol to put in like you put in a '~' for the sounds maybe?

no, the filenames i gave you are the correct filenames.

I do not think they can. I tried but to no avail. You need a usb cable and the mpt to do it I am pretty sure, but even then I hear it is a pain
