Anybody know anything about this phone? It is supposed to be available in the 3rd quarter of 2004.
I'd like to know if it has an external antenna jack. I live so far out in the boonies of west texas, they have to ship sunlight and beans out here.
There's no hand held unit that works within 20 miles of where I live. It's 45 miles to the nearest interstate.
I sure do like living in the country, though.
Edited to add: Been thinking about a sat phone, but not sure I *need* to talk that bad.
TIA!!

Yeah, that was the page I saw.
I've noticed that even a lot of the comparison charts don't offer the external antenna jack as a search or sort option. Must not be a very popular feature.

all the kyocera phones i have experience with (lots) have all had external antenna jacks of some kind.

Sprint PCS, I don't think they're your best bet if your way out in the boonies, as you have no roaming.
Considered Verizon, Cingular, or someone local? They might be a better bet than Virgin/Sprint from a coverage perspective.
