Thanks for the info though I didn't realize you could get this directly from MS I've been wasting my time/BW on a torrent of it.

I could have had XP SP2 about 4-6 months ago. But I make it a point to avoid MS beta software.

It hasnt been until within the past week or so that the final release of SP2 has surfaced.

I had the beta about 4 / 6 months ago but the only main problem was just that it was a beta and there were problems with how it performed. This was just released as of yeasterday and is the real deal no beta.

The problem of XP2 Beta was it changed your entire O/S to Windows XP Media Edition. But now XP2 SP2 just updates your security files preaty much. This one that I posted above allows you to upgrade to SP2 even if you have the corp key code on your computer which is what I got.

Yeah I'm going to wait it out. I had enough problems with the BETA SP2 and just got my shyt back in order.
If this is like SP1, by the end of the month there will be a patch for the patch!
You know there are coders out their just waiting for a large enough installation base to try and find exploits.

If anybody needs to "think outside of the box" it's M/S. Nothing they add is "fresh". From what I've seen, they will usually recompile someone else's code used on the big boxes.
Generally these wares already have exploits known to the original coder and a small community of friends and users. M/S ganks the theory and basically calls it their own without any compensation for the original developers. Then BAM the coder community unleashes its form of anonymous justice on M/S, lol.

Deep, Once again thanks for putting this up for us. I think I will test this on my spare laptop just to be on the safe side. Can never trust MS and the updates.

Also here is a link which lists all of the fixes

I installed it aswell, no problems at all. Everything runs fine. I didn't really find any improvements excep the Pop-up Blocker in IE tools menu: Works awesome, I get zero popups now
