P900 Outlook Sync Limitation? But not on 9290?

I work at a T-Mobile store and I have a customer with a P900 and a Sony laptop and he is having trouble syncing with out look. The problem is that it freezes after it has been syncing for about 10 minutes.
Here's the deal; he has a Nokia 9290 with about 4000 or so contact entries. He was able to sync these up with his outlook. When trying to then in turn sync up the P900 to get those contacts out of outlook, it fails every time. Maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of the contacts are being transfered. Does anybody know what the problem is? Is there a way to sync the 9290 directly to the P900?

How many contacts can a P900 store? is a 3rd party app need for this many?

Did you try to Force full sync? That's what did it for me.

i may be wrong........... but whenever i sync my p900 w/ outlook....outlook pops out a security concern dialog box....and ask me do i allow some other program to access outlook's database......and the longest option of sync time is 10 minutes..
since u said it takes more then 10 min. will it be the reason that outlook closed the connection for sync after 10 min?

un install the suit and download the new one from sonyericsson website from support. that will do it
dont forget to setting after that and force the phone over ride pc
other wise u will loose all your contacts
