Information on Palm

I'm a student, looking to purchase a Palm Tungsten E. I think the software bundle is great, features are perfect, and it looks...frankly stylin'.

I have done my research, but it has left with with several questions:

1. A stock Palm E contains software that can read and edit MS Word documents. But can it create them? Or do I need a software bundle add-on to be able to create Word files on the Palm?

2. What about the quality issue? I will be picking up an EWP/PSP on my Palm (I work for a cellphone retailer, so I see techno-destruction horrors). Will this be sufficient, or do I need to pony-up for a T3 or Zire 72?

3. Since i will be doing notes in class, should I got with the Palm-branded keyboard, or something more...cheap.

jus stick with the TE
i use it all the time...
1. It could create word files....but they are known as Word 2 Go on the palm...
it will auto convert to Microsoft Word files once sync'ed with comp...

2. get urself a Palm Wireless keyboard and u'll be able to type and use the Palm like a labtop.....
uses 2 AAA batteries .....i've been using it for 3 months non-stop.....haven't recharged yet....
