Quick question about Call Waiting

Simple question, easy answer. I just don't know it. When talking to someone on my phone (8900) and I get another call from someone else, I can take that other call, yet when I want to switch back to my other caller (by hitting send again?) I cannot. Am I supposed to wait for the second caller to hang up? After that happens the call is ended and I have to call caller #1 back. I've never really understood this... none of my friends have 8900's, most have lg's. They can use this feature fine, they just hit send a second time. Thanks for the help.

sometimes i have to hit send a couple times to switch back, but it usually works for me..

So do you hit send before caller #2 ends the call? If #2 ends the call, my 8900 simply ends all calls and goes back to the main screen. Sort of annoying.

sometimes, yes. it doesnt do that to me... wierd.

OMG!! same thing happens to me. i thought i was just stupid and didnt know how to operate the phone. but i re-read the manual and i seem to be doing everything right. whether i push send before or after #2 hangs up i always hang up on #1. hmmmmm....

If I wait until #2 hangs up, my phone automatically thinks the call is done so it shows no call is operating. Thus, #1 is also cut-off. I'm not even sure #1 is on during the #2 connection.

Btw, this has happened to me with both the old firmware and the new, recent update (vers. m03.189).

Actually this had happened to me as well, i called *611 and asked if there was a problem with the call waiting, so i decided to test it on my own at work since i have 3 lines. I found out that it did work. So as long as you click over before the other person hangs up, it works just fine
