Hi, My first post(be gentle please)...
Anyone tried any mods with a v220, I am not having too much trouble with mobilephone tools, just a little qwerky, but it most works, for exchanging files and stuff. However when I am hex editing with P2kman, changes do not take effect. I save the seem files, but it doesn't change the phone features. although the values have been changed when i load them up from the phone.
Do you have to have the latest flex/firmware to do editing?
Has anyone tried to flash a v220?
I would like to get the earpiece mods and such, any help would be appreciated

mmm i have a moto v220 too and i can't seem to find anything about modding / flashing or ne info AT ALL... some help would be greatly appreicated!

Well, I did some modding and figured a few things out... Most of the changes work however some do not, as the software is different from other Vxxx phones. Pkman did not work for changing alot of seems, however I had alot more luck with pkseem. Changed my outer display, have multiple numbers in recent/dialed calls, dashes between numbers, and no startup or shutdown screens.

Seemplayer worked fairly well for editing seems, except that some of the changes do not work. For example when i removed the rogers text from my display, i lost the use of the menu key functions. It went back to old style motorola layout...up and down for phonebook and left and right for volume. So i had to change that back. There are a few others that didn't work but i didn't keep track(sorry). You'll have to do trial and error with the editting. I would recomend you to change one or two things at a time and then test and also back-up your seem and gain table files.

At one piont i screwed up my fone so bad it started play an mp3 file continously over and over and would not stop even when i turned the fone off!
