Ok - had the thing for a week. My impressions:
Nice feel in hand when using as a phone, arm does not suffer Cell Phone Fatigue. It does draw attention when in holster - for that reason, I went with a generic Targus pouch from BB for 9 bux.
All Palm aps work. I've managed to get Email, Usenet, My Bank account (First Union) to work. Web pages load quickly DEPENDING on the Web browser used. Blazer, Eudora, Xiino in that order (YMMV).
This thing synced right up with outlook, and I did not even have to worry about getting my numbers from the old phone. Prior I had select numbers in the phone, with this thing I have ALL My contacts.
Phone book integration is excellent, first couple letters of a contact, name pops up, tap the number and a dial dialog pops up. Cool.
The color is pretty good, better than a palm IIIc I had in another life. In the sunshine, forget about it. If this thing had a TFT screen............... sigh.
Speaker phone is functional, but I prefer to not use it. The quality of it is suspect. The speaker in the phone is great. I can hear clearly even doing 80 down the highway. The ear piece fits nicely on the ear, and you
Signal streghth: I used to have the king of kings 5150. At my place of work, it would only get the signal on my desk. If it was on my hip I would loose the signal. I keep a signal with the 300. You can surf and talk with no bars - just the antenna.
Need I say anything about the keyboard................. it is THE KILLER AP on this phone.
I can honestly say that I have been trying to be a mobile warrior for a long time. Cell phones, PDa's, wires the entire nine yards. Its comforting and refreshing to be able to do all that stuff with just one device the size of a deck of cards. ANd the kicker is that the ***** works!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok I be tired now - LOL.

Dredging this post from the depths...
Pink how is the Outlook connectivity with Calender and to do lists? Do the Calender entries appear onscreen on the Treo just like they do in Outlook? Can you post any pics/screenshots?
Also how is sync? Is it cable or IR, or both?
Thanx much.

The Treo 300 syncs with Outlook perfectly. Although I do recommend you get Agendus (formerly called Action Names) for the datebook upgrade. It is an amazing program. Agendus (by Iambic.com) incorporates your datebook, to-do list as well as your contact list. I couldn't live without it. I can click on a contact in Agendus and it will tell me all the meetings I have had with that individual, when as well as to-dos and phone calls. Check it out.
I use the free Handspring Photo album for pictures.
Don't know about IR but I sync mine with the hotsync cable and it works great.
