Need Help With 8900, provider is Telus

Hey guys,
This may have been posted somewhere before I'm not sure, but I figured it would make it easier if someone replied to this for me. Recently I bought a cell phone from Telus, obviously it was the Audiovox 8900 and when I went to look for ringtones, I came up empty handed. I have read numerous posts from everybody on how to get ringtones and animated gifs etc. onto their phones but from what I have read a lot of the people dont have Telus as a provider, and I think that would make a difference. As well, I am assuming I need one of the USB Data cables, but I live in Canada and upon venturing to my local malls today to find one, no stores carried them, not even radioshack apparently, they said they only deal with "Rogers" accessories. SO in conclusion I was wondering where I might be able to find a cable..I got one on ebay, but it wont be here for a bit and im anxious, and I'm also not 100% if it is what I need exactly either, but I can post a link to the auction upon request. As well I was wondering which program I should use once I have said cable in order to put new ringtones on my phone as well as animated gifs? (If this IS even possible for a Telus phone). Any help is MUCH appreciated. And I apologize if this issue has already been addressed on another thread.

I am on Cellular South which is very similar to cricket so I use cid's ringtone tool.
