Hey Guys,

I have a laptop with a built in Bluetooth port but i can't seem to figure out how i can transfer data back and fourth with my x70 and my laptop. My laptop doesn't detect there is an X70 in the area with the bluetooth on. Is there software i need to downlooad? I tried floAt mobile agent but i don't think that helps. My laptop also has built in Ifrared. I tried shooting the data at it and says coudln't find connection on my phone. Is there a setting on the laptop that i need to use to make let the computer know that i'm trying to send it something???

Also sending files to my phone, i have windowsxp Pro and no where in control panel etc can i find a program or icon to do with my bluetooth connection or Ifrared?? So i can't transfer ringtones over to my phone.

If you guys could suggest some ideas or solutions i'd appreciate it

okay make sure your bt is on, which you probably have, then make bt discoverable and pair and then try transfering
ir seems easier
just goto connections and click recieve file and then align the ir port and your comp should detect it
for me, i just right click on the file i want to send and send to -> x70

where do i go to connections?
I see no connections icon or anything like that, are you looking at network connections?

Like how do i make my computer recognize that there is a bluetooth device around. IT doesnt' seem to recognize it. Even for infrared

i'll try to walk you through

for IR:
goto main menu, the bottom right icon (connect), receive object, now point the comp ir and the x70's ir at each other and hold it in position for a while and your comp should detect the phone on ir and a message box should pop up
if nothing shows, check to see if your computer's ir port is activated
this should work, if not your comp's ir may be not active.

for BT:
goto main menu, the bottom right icon (connect), bluetooth, on/off (select on), now goto make d'coverable, start, now your should be able to detect the phone with your comp
pair them by making a passkey and type it into your comp and phone, now you should be able to see your comp on the x70's paired devices
to send files, i think you just go back to the connect menu and receive object, and then send from your comp using the right click option
