GX30, GX31, GX32 Are they the same??

I am really thinking about replace my Samsung E715 with Sharp's GX30.

So far I have found 3 different model, GX30, GX31, and GX32. Are they the same or they are actually different model?

If I buy a GX32, and I flash the firmware with GX30 or GX31?

I have never heard of the GX-31, but the GX-30 (Vodafone) and the GX-32 (Asian version) are the same phone. One (the GX-30) is sold exclusively by Vodafone, or at least it was, and is locked to their network; plus, it has Vodafone customizations; the other one (the GX-32) is the unlocked, non-customized, unbranded (except for Sharp) version.

I found GX31 model from Taiwan website, I guess GX31 is only produce for Taiwan market.
So If I buy a GX30, can I upgrade to GX32's firmware? Since they are the same phone, just different firmware.

I was able to change my E715's firmware with E710 Euro version.

It is probably easier to just buy the GX-32, since it's already unlocked. Certainly you can unlock and flash/flex the GX-30, but why go through the hassle.

I don't think you can upgrade the software, this phone is really limited since it's only officially sold by two networks. I'd get the GX32 because it doesn't have all the Vodafone junk on it. The GX32 has some customizations from Smartone, but not much... whereas the GX30 is all red and ugly.

If I were you though, I'd wait for the S700 from SE. I got my GX32 like in March, because I couldn't wait, but I'd wait if I were getting a new phone now. Same specs as the GX32, but it's SE and therefore better.

I am asking this, because my friend is getting off his GX30 to replace with S700. He got S700 from Taiwan for about $600. Very nice phone, but it look like Camera with phone build-in.

I can get the GX30 for $350 from him, which i think is good deal, since the phone is only few month old. From what he told me, Taiwan's vendor was able to unlock GX30 to GX31 (taiwan's model), for a fee. He didn't go for it, since he is going to get off this phone anyway.

So I am wondering if anyone has how-to to upgrade this phone.
