is it normal for the sliders to have below average signal strength? my previous phone was a v60i and i could talk in many places i cant with the slider. i didnt think there would be that much of a difference. does anyone know what would be the best phone for signal strength? im on alltel.

If that phone is not picking up well, take it back, there is something wrong with it, that phone should do very well, all the Kyocera's we have perform very well.

I can give you a good perspective on both, as I have the Slider and my wife the v60. We travel together a lot and my Slider has as good coverage as her aging v60 has, maybe even a little better. (Her battery is failing on the v60, so we're going to upgrade her to the 5550 very soon)
My guess is that you have a malfunctioning phone. Take it back and tell them you want it fixed. That wouldn't cost you anything, as I assume it is under warranty.
Good Luck.

well im kinda glad that it is messed up, and not just a really crappy phone. i will still probobly switch back to a v60 for now and sell the slider, and sit tight until some more new phones come out. do you think they would just give me a new slider or would they make me wait without a phone until mine was fixed?
