Data Cable Problem

Ok...I bought the data cable for the LGVX600 from Radio Shack. I know it works as I used it before but had to reformat my HD and lost everything. Now I cant get the new cable to work. No matter if I use Gagin or Bitpim it says the device cant be found...anyone have any idea's on why. I am using the futuredial drivers.
