I am tring to add a ring tone to my phone
via vzw and I am getting an error every time. I have even tried to upload wallpapers and I get the same error.
It reads... Upload Warning
Type of file unsupported. abba-dancingqueen.mid.php

I have been trying to upload this song by Abba for my wife and it is not working.
The file is only 12kb. I have also tried other songs thinking maybe the file was bad, but I get the same error.

Thanks in advance for your help.

First off, get rid of the php. The extention should only be .mid

Also, if that is the name of the whole song, you need to get rid of the - between abba and dancingqueen.

If I was you, I would just rename the file dancingqueen.mid

After that it should load fine on both Verizon's site and onto your 7000 as well.

hope this helps

I tried to rename and that worked but the file type still says PHP... there was no way to edit it out in the directory. I am not sure why this is there but all 5 of the files I downloaded are all PHP files.

Thanks for your help on the renaming.

Try this.

Go to Window's Explorer, up top click on Go To Tools then on Folder Options and then View.

Once there, scroll down till you find Hide Extensions For Know File Types and make sure there isn't a check mark beside it. If there is get rid of it. Click OK till your all the way out of there.

Now all the extentions should be showing for all your files. Right click on one of your files, hit END on your keyboard, and this should have your cursor sitting at the end of the file name. Now just delete the php portion and hit OK. It's going to say something about renaming the file stuff, don't worry about it, hit ok again. It now should be named whatever.mid with no php extention, and you should be set.

Hope this one helps. Wasn't to much help it seems on the last one.
