Slider SE-47 Questions

I have Verizon Wireless service and just purchased a LG VX-4500. The phone has decent reception, good ringtones, and a loud speakerphone. These are the things that are important to me. My previous phone was a Kyocera QCP-3035. I really prefer a "candy bar" style phone vs. the flip design. I am considering exchanging the LG for Kyocera's new Slider SE-47. Here are my questions: 1.) How is the reception? My current Kyocera is tri-mode, but doesn't have super reception. The LG is all digital like the Slider and seems to be pretty good. 2.) How is the battery life? Again, my current Kyocera wasn't all that great. 3.) Is the connector to the phone for the standard AC adapter a clip on type or a standard cylinder type? I had problems with my current Kyocera with the standard cylinder style AC plug. 4.) Last, but not least, how many chords are the polyphonic ringtones? I am hoping there are more than 16. Any help you can lend is appreciated!!

The reception is very good, but I still believe that reception is more tied into the carrier and where you are standing at that moment.
The battery life is excellent.
Not sure what you mean about the AC. It kind of "clips" into the phone. The other end is your standard power block that plugs into the wall.
I have no idea about the chords.
Lastly - the Slider isin't that new. It's been around for a while.
Hope this helps...

Thanks JF. Your reply was helpful. Regarding the AC adapter, I am talking about the end that plugs into the phone. Is it a cylinder shape that inserts into a hole with a pin in the phone, or is it a rectangular clip on style with the small gold conductors in it? Can you just pull the plug out of the phone, or do you need to release it with two little clips on both ends? Thanks!

It's a data cable type clip that you hook into the data port on the botton with the two release clips on the side.
The reception is quite good, IMHO. I used a Kyocera 2325 on my last provider for about a month. It's reception was a joke, it sounded awful, and was hard to use. The Slider is a different world and hard to believe it's a Kyocera.
The ringers sound good (from Xringer, the built in ones are terrible), but no clue on how many chords.
Battery life seems a lot better than the VX4400 to me, but I've got no clue about the VX4500.
Hope this helps some.

If you want better reception, Verizon offers the SE44, the same phone as the SE47, but offers analog as well as digital. unfourtanetly, the Slider series has a clip-on type of AC plug, and does not include a rubber stopper for the plug. The speaker phone is very loud, and the ringtones are great. I know some people who use their Sliders like a PTT phone, listening to the call through the speakerphone, and just talking through the microphone(that doesn't make any snece-sence, but my backspagvec button is broken
)

Verizon offers the SE44 now? I'd love to know where, I wish I'd got it instead of the 47 as a just in case. Of course, I really wish they had the blue Slider (actually at this point I hope they don't get it since I'd be mad at myself!)
