A friend of mine that uses Sprint provider and the Sanyo SCP-5300 phone makes all kinds of ringtones in .qcp format. Is there a known program that can change the qcp format to mp3 or midi? I want to get several of the tones he has but when a qcp is played on the VX4400 it's very quiet and often not loud enough to hear. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There might be an easier way, but I will just offer up the first thing that came to mind for me. Convert the qcp file to a wav file with Pure Voice Converter. I believe www.CDMAtech.com is the website you can find it on, but dont quote me on that. I know the program has been discussed before on the forums though, so it should be no problem to find. Or google PVConvert or something like that. Anywho, convert the QCP to WAV, then convert the WAV to an MP3 that will work on your phone.
While typing that I also realized you could just use a stream recorder and record the wav output on your computer to an MP3 while you play the QCP file. Either way will work though.

Hmmmm.....why don't you just rename the file with a .mid extention and that's that?
After that, you should be able to upload it to your phone with no problem. Your phone should play it and Verizon's site will load it up with no problem.
That's what I do with mp3's, why wouldn't it work with any other extention?
Just wondering.....
