I have installed a led in the emblem from the back of the T610.
I don't wanna say I take credit for this completely because I'v got the idea from some guy who installed one on a P800 and posted about it on hofo. But installing it on my T610 was completely my idea incuding the wireing and everything else.

You'll need the following

1. A T610-T616
2. T6 Screwdriver
3. One tiny phone keypad led from a different phone, hopefully green like mine since the emblem is green, but any colour will do.
4. The thinnest wires you'v ever come accross!
5. Tape, or a sticker
6. About an hour time, and alot of patience
7. This is very important! About 12 tracks of relaxing cuban/carrabean music, it really helps!

Take your phone apart. If you don't know how, there's a thread in the Sony Ericsson forum writtin on how to take your phone apart, it even has pictures. I have connected my led to the phone's vibrator, so that whenever the phone vibrates, the led will light up. It can be connected to other parts of the phone, but I found the vibrator the best. So take your phone apart till the vibrator is visible, do not take the vibrator out unless necessary, I didn't take mine out. This is where you get your 2 really thin wires out, and hook them up to the vibrator's pins. 1 on the left, and the other on the right. Try to keep the wires away from each other if they are fully exposed with no covering on them like mine. I did it this way because the wires are thinner.

get the wires through the housing to come out the other side of the phone, the back that is, like in the picture below

I should mention that you'll need to take the main board out, so the front cover will have to come off.
How that you got the wires to the back and so, you'll need to make the hole for the led.
Take the emblem out, try with a cloth pin, those things women use on clothes, don't ask me! I happened to have one in my room and used that. With the pin, push from behind, there's a little hole, push the emblem out through that hole. Once out, try using a small and really pointy kitchen knife for the next step. in the center of the place where the emblem used to be, drill your hole, not big, about 3-4 mm. Use the picture for referance.

Once you got your hole, put the emblem back in. Next you'll need the led. Here's mine. Let me point out that I got this from a Nokia 292. A really old crappy nokia I have no use for. And as a proud SE owner and fan, SCREW NOKIA! lmao

Thats your pin, now get another 2 little wires and tie them to each end of the led. Mine has well ends so I could tie the wires to them. It was still really hard! So it may be hard for you too, but be patient. Its worth it when you're the one who ppl are jelous of Do not use glue on the pin to get the wires to stay in place! I tried that and screwed up my first attempt. Since glue is liquid, and the led doesn't seem to like water, it broke, meaning it won't light anymore. Once you'v tied the wires to the led, put the led on top the hole you made on the back cover, the led must face down, the wires must not touch each other, here's a pic.

This is when you'll need your tape, or little sticker. I couldn't find tape, so I used a little white sticker.

Now you gotta tie the wires coming from the led, to the wires coming from the vibrator. I'm sure you know how this works, one wire from led to one wire from vibrator, the other wire from led, to the other wire from vibrator, the 2 wires must not touch each other! You can burn your vibrator, your led, or the whole phone! I do not take responsibility for any of your actions, so be carefull!
Once you got your wires tied in place, use some more tape or stickers if you have to get the wires to stay away from each other so when you put the cover back on the phone, they won't touch each other. I didn't use any because I didn't have any more, but I got the wires to stay far enough from each other so they won't touch.

Carefully put the back cover back on the phone, do not rip the wires, or you'll have to start all over again! Once the cover's back on, you know how to finish ur phone off, just a couple of screws.
And guess what, you're done! Time to test it. You can either play a ringtone that has vibration in it, or go in the setting, turn the vibrator off, exit, go back in, turn it on, but before you click on, turn the phone upside down and look at the led, then click on while the phone is upside down so you can see the led
Another way to test the vibrator is to go in the secret menu and test the vibrator.
The dummy way to get this tested, call yourself! Call your own phone and if its set to vibrate, it will vibrate when it rings
If the led works, congrats, you'v accomplished what only few ppl have, just don't forget, I'v done it before you

ha ha, its nice, but it requires alot of patience.
I changed the faceplate on my friend's T68i and fogot the microphone in the old faceplate so he could't talk on the phone, he got so frustrated he was gonna throw the phone down the street, and he didn't do anything, all he did is try to use the phone :S Some ppl get frustrated too easily!

No way man, this is really hard to do! lol, I did it for my phone, but I don't think I'd do it for another without 50-60 bucks in my pocket. And i doubt someone will pay that for a led install. That was some serious concentration and I don't wanna do it again anytime soon, lol.

I think it should work on a T630 as well. As long as you got the logo and light can go through it, I think you can do it. The vibrator is in the same place, so its all pretty much the same. Try if you want and let us know how it turned out.

i think someone did a post on this like 5 months ago, but he used a blue led and since it was a clear housing it showed alot more, pretty neat. he posted a video clip of the blinking light in action too.

im trying to add an bright blue 3mm LED light on the top of my t630. between the power button and the infrared/bluetooth window, theres a line that i cut out with a blade. im able to fit everything inside but the orginal plan was to make a button that i can press and have the light work. i thought i had an extra button, the same button as the power button on the t610, but as i was going through my junk i remembered i threw it away. does anyone here have one to spare? or know where i can get some? this isnt something i can just pick up at radio shack is it?

on the t630 there is a rubber section on where the mirror would be on a t610, i plan to stick it in there.

i actually gave it a try and it works fine, just need a button..dont want it on all day now. at first i was just gonna use King_of_ROM technique of putting it on the vibrator motor, but its too weak or course. it would have been neat though, having control the light by software rather than a button.

Hey dude, wasnt that me? I used aflashing sticker and position the 3 colored led under the t630 logo, and when you get an incoming call, you can see the light flash, and no batteries required =)

As soon as I find a Surface Mount LED I'm doing this to my T630... Anyone know where to find these LEDs? I don't have an old keypad available for use...

success, i borrowed another hofoers idea of copying that blue led add on you can buy and integrated it into the phone. i took out the SE logo on the back and put a button there instead, its not that bright cause the whole is so small, but in the dark it works really well.

i connected a wire from the bottom of the phone, where you plug in the charger, on the inside though, and made the wire go all the way up to the led, when i took out the SE logo i drilled a small whole so i can mount the button and let the wires go through. i think its a pretty interesting mod, was it necessary? nope
