flashed VM to vzw slider.. roams randomly.

does any1 have any idea why my phone(VM slider flashed to VZW) randomly roams... like within a 10 ft range... one second im not roaming and one second i am... i read posts about people updating their roaming capablities and that helped but i did it and it didnt help much....
any have any suggestions... thanks..
