I ordered a P900! It should be here on the 24th! I can't wait. Got it almost brand new. The guy at the warehouse said it has no scratches, mint condition, and still has the screen plastic on! For $463 shipped! I think its a good deal.

I start a new internship tomorrow so I'm rewarding myself. I can't wait to get it! I'm so excited, my dream phone!!!

sorry this is a mostly useless post but I am just so ecstatic!

no got bored and sad for a p900 so decided to froogle it. turns out superpawn.com (also ztradingpost.com, same company) had it "used" for that price. so i called and e-mailed them and they described the condition of it and it was $449 plus $13 shipping.

best part is, i orered with my American Express so i'm protected if it turns out to be in crappy condition or something.

i just can't beleive of all places, a pawn shop on froogle had it! i think i got VERY lucky, but i'll find out tuesday. there better be nothing wrong with it.

yep! just started a partime job/internship as a test engineer for a company that makes browsers for cell phones. so my day will be: go to school, go to work: at which i'll be playing with all sorts of phones testing their browser on it! i feel like i'm dreaming.

i promised myself that if i got an internship or co-op, i'd get a P900 for myself. so this internship and P900 offer couldn't have coincided better!

as for apps, Sman 1.3, minGPS 1.56, aquacalendar 2.1, tracker 4.03, tube chicago 1.01, worldmate 2004 3.1, splashphoto 3.09, unreal player 2.1, slovoed russian, power car 1.00, remore p900 1.4, keymapper 1.0, handysafe 3.5, handy day 2004, andy expense 2.0, IM+ 2.11

anything else you recommend? i'm on the lookout for an app that can save archive SMS to the computer. also if there is anything that can make the phone store recieved SMSs on the memorystick.

oh and a bigger memorystick for cheap, somewhere in the tune of 64mb or even 128 if its a good price.

and what screen protectors does everyone recommend?

minigps. i installed this and seem to need further instruction on how to use this.

I bought some screen protectors on ebay. dont fit the entire screen, but effective.

cool, i got some spare palm m100 ones i used to cut to protect my canon s50's LCD, i'll try those.

as for minGPS, its very cool when i used it on S60. what it does is memorize different cell towers and you can then specify the phone to do things when you hit the tower.
for example, my girlfriend sometimes worries about me driving home late aback to my house when i drop her off so she asks me to SMS her when i get to my house. being tired, i almost always forget. with mini GPS, i set to automatically send her an SMS as soon as i reach the proximity of my house!

another cool thing is you can make it sound an alarm. i take a one hour train ride to school downtown every single day (dorms are too $$$). i have to wake up early for this so i sometimes sleep on the train. i set miniGPS to sound an alarm as a little before it hits my station for my school otherwise i would sleep through the stop and be late for class! its a great app. assuming it works on the p900 like i remember it working on my 3650.

No shipping...but the phone is like new with box and all accessories. It is a friend of mine who has gone Smartphone OS and doesn't need it anymore.

There are three big differences to me:
1) T-Mo is not a good provider in North NJ (HUGE difference from Chicago) and ATT is a good provider (ANOTHER HUGE difference)

2) Rains more here

3) more regulations, laws, permits and junk here

but i hope you will enjoy it, just make sure to visit chi-town once in a while and let me know when you're in town. btw, the headset and its ghetto-rigged charger still work beautifully!

thanks for your consideration of my situation...I would LOVE to have UIQ again...but I have needs, like good Outlook sync and GSM 850...If SE could give me a little sumthin sumthin in the P1000 and I will run back like a ho to her pimp with a big wad of cash from a rich trick!

It was never once turned on, i know because it asked me for the language. the plastic on the sync station was never removed and still sealed as was everything else. it is also unlocked, and has CDA162003/6 so its upgradable to R5B (has R3C now)!!!!

I never exped it to be like this and thought i would resell it on ebay for more but since it is in such new and pristine condition, i'm keeping it. I'm in love.

It's charging at home right now (now i'm at work). in one way its good so it can charge for the 4 hours it needs for the battery to last in the future. on the other hand, i am literally itching and twitching just thinking about it, that i have a brand new P900 sitting on my desk charging. I also tested for the 1/4th inch screen calibration bad thing i heard about and its fine!

Oh i can't wait to get off work and start installing apps and playing with it!!! AAAHHH!!!!!!

I have to say that the P900 is a phone that I always wanted myself... but after a while, the size has started to become an issue for me, regardless of all the puzzled looks I get by having it...

i got 2 p900s ...i used my p8 cradle/charger. also, once you restore/reset/upgrade your P900, it will ask you for a language. My units dont look used up either. hehe

Okay, so for those of up that want to leap for the P1000

I know about my-Symbian, etc for downloads, but I don't have a unit to install any .sis files on, so I have to take people's word

What apps for UIQ:
a) good shopping list (when i had P800, all you had was a database, spreadsheet type format...hoping for something little more dedicated)

b) what medical proggy's are available, like ePocrates if possible

c) what proggy's do we have for adobe .pdf docs? do they have to render them before hotsync or are they viewable natively

d) is IM+ and AgileMessenger still the best IM clients?

e) The P900 does both IMAP and POP, so future units should do both also right?

f) I remember that Avantgo is available for UIQ now

g) did Psiloc's clock screensaver get any better, I remember it really blew at first

h) still no one button voice memo like the R520 though huh?
