CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO GET MP3S ON TO MY SHARP GX 30 DO I NEED TO BUY THE DATA CABLE TO CONNECT TO MY LAPTOP OR CAN I SEND MP3S ANY OTHER WAY

Get yourself a SD card reader (they are very cheap) plug it into your USB port on yer PC...drag and drop your Mp3's into the Sound folder that the GX30 creates on the SD card, pull out the card from the reader and then pop it into the phone...when you goto your mp3 player on the phone choose the memory card option.
Otherwise you have to use the infra red PC link program you installed on your PC...which only allows you to upload files to the small internal memory on the phone...
Deinately get a SD reader cos then you can also drag and drop your photos, movies mp3s from and too the phone with ease and speed...
just did a search and this is just one of loads of places

I hav a GX30....i have just bought a 128mega bite memorycard and a data cable......i installed handset manager and wen i tryed to transfer MP3's from my PC to my phone it sed that the file was too big.....Why.....would it let me if i bought the SD card reader?????

Because by using the pc to phone software that comes with the phone, you can only transfer files to the phones internal memory NOT the SD card ....and the internal memory is tiny, its not telling you about the memory on the card...so buy a sd card reader and you save to that, then insert the card and play the MP3's direct from that...I use a 256MB sd card in the phone.
