Looking to make a purchase decision soon...I'm with Tmobile. I like the bigger screen of the 7730. Is the higher resolution that much better? Is it worth the extra money over the 7230?

Yes! The screen is much better and definitely worth the extra $$

Size matters I really enjoy the 7730.

What other differences are there?
I am also going to buy either a 7230 or 7730.
I have Tmo in nyc-
How is the Rf and clarity as a phone?

Size; brighter screen (with controllable backlighting).
RF and phone clarity seem to be the same as other T-Mobile BBs; nothing noticeable there.

Thanks - NJ
I was just asking about BB's RF and clarity in general? I have never owned a BB -
Is the RF great- good - okay - bad ???
I currently use a nokia 6600 - I think the Rf is Great-

The Blackberry is the best wireless e-mail device out there - it shines at e-mail. It is an OK phone. And an OK web browser. But it's e-mail that makes it great. As far as RF, etc., it's OK. It takes a little getting used to as a phone.

I have lots of phones (including a 6600). I think the RF and clarity are about the same.

I moved from the 72xx to 77xx couple of months ago. No regrets. As others have stated, the screen size/brightness in themselves makes it a no context. As for the size of the actual device .... 77xx is actually not that much more bigger than the 72xx.

I used my 7780 as a phone for only a month but its RF was amazing. I was able to make calls on it from P3 underground parking in my office when my V600 was dead in the water.

Where, besides ebay, can I get some good deals on a 7730 with new activation?

I'd say it isn't worth the extra money, the extra screen size is rarely useful and it just seems bulkier as well.

The backlight is nice, but its presence also makes the screen darker and thus you end up needing to use the backlight more often than you would with a 7230.

One final thing, the screen isn't actually higher rez, its just bigger, higher rez would imply more pixels in the same area.

I ended up going with the 7730. Can't wait until it arrives!
