if anyone knows that this thread already exists, please direct me?
Hi, i'm normally w/ tmobile, but i adore the slider in terms of style and size. i was wondering if any of you proud slider owners could answer a few inquiries?

1. while searching on the slider website, i noticed that the se44 version has a push-to-talk feature and is only avail in canada? is this true? or can it be used in the states. if so, hot!

2. i couldn't find any sort of camera-type of attachment, does one exist for the slider?

i'm leaning towards virgin mobile purely due to the marketing skills from mtv and VM.

when the heck will they make a camera slider? that'd be doubly hot!

thanks all,
-o.

Not true on both counts, Western Wireless' version is the SE44. It adds analog. There's also a SE44 PTT and I think Alltel has it.

"2. i couldn't find any sort of camera-type of attachment, does one exist for the slider?"

Not AFAIK

And it's rediculously expensive. I mean, it's cheap for prepay; but prepay is a ripoff.

It's not a Slider, but it's called a Koi and I'd have definitely waited for it if only it didn't have a camera...

The 'camera slider' that you want is called the Kyocera Koi or kx2 (maybe kx1 I forgot) and is coming out in Verizon Wireless before the end of this year (sometime around the end summer)

Instead of sliding up, it'll slide in a 360 degree (or 180 I'm not sure) rotation and it has 1.2 megapixel camera and video recorder according to phonearena.com

EDIT: I don't see the point in camera phones. The cameras are such low quality and just add to the price of the phone. I'd rather take pictures with a digital camera and transfer it to the phone. But the rotating sliding function and bigger screen really has me hooked on the Koi
