Just curious if anyone has any additional comments other then what i have read here on the boards. I am going to the sprint store sat morning first thing to get my 4900. Hows the "real" battery life holding up? using speaker etc for long calls? Has anyone connected their 4900 to a sony clie nr70V? If so where did you get the cable? will the clie browse through the phone at 3g speed?

thanks

sincerely 4900 soon to be user.

well if you take out all the graphical options, wont play games, and put a sleep mode after 5 sec and backlight after 8 sec and etc, yea the phone will hold to its true battery performace.

the battery life is superb, i don't have to constantly worry about my battery. i can play games, surf the web and talk for an hour and at the end of the day the battery still shows 3 bars.

Well, unless I'm smoking crack, which I haven't lately.. ;o] ...I'm seeing that CallerID bug, where it's not displaying the person's name, even though I have it in my Phonebook.

It seems to only happen with long distance numbers. So, in the phonebook, I have 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx listed... and when someone calls, it displays xxx-xxx-xxxx only ... and the phonebook doesn't seem to pick that up...

Can anyone else confirm this?

i have seen that on my scp 6000 once in a while

try not entering the number one before the area code. that should take care of the bug

You don't need 1 to call long distance.
