Setting downloaded pics as wallpaper

With the VX6000 pics e-mailed to me are saved to the Photo Inbox. However (as far as I can tell) only pics in the Photo Album can be "set as" wallpaper. So how can I get e-mailed pics set as wallpaper? BTW, in case this is significant, I don't use a data cable; e-mailing is the only way for me to transfer pictures. Thanks.
