I got one of these for my wife. I used for a couple minutes setting it up on her phone but really have not had a chance to play with it. When I set it up I liked the sound clarity and the volume seemed good. But I did only use it in my kitchen and haven't tested it in my car (which is a Jeep Wrangler. Lot's of noise). What really impressed me with the little I used it was how comfortable this headset was on my ear. I almost bought another one for myself. But I already had the HBH-610a which I bought 6 months earlier. So I thought I would just stay with it. Comfort wise, the BH-200 blows away the HBH-610a. For what it is worth.

good to hear

Posted by: Tomwiec

Nokia 6682<== Jawbone, Plantronics 645, and Plantronics 655.

Jawbone is amazing, everyone hears me and I can hear everyone. Everyone needs one. Both plantronics are nice but the Jawbone is by far a better bluetooth headset.

jawbone?

-Paired with two N95s. Selects N95s in order of pairing.

-Voice dialing works 95% of the time.

-I have had problems with Verizon voicemail not recognizing me as leaving a message. Not sure if it is a Cingular, BT, N95 or BH-800 issue.

-I get some pop and crackle at random times. Distance or obstructions are not always the issue.

-Very loud ear piece. I can alway hear them. No one has ever notice I am on the BH-800.

-Ear piece is a little large for for my ear canal.

-Battery life is excellent for both the N95 and BH-800.

Summary. The Nokia BH-800 is an adequate performing bluetooth headset by Nokia. It is one of Nokia's truly competitive cellphone accessories. The design is chic; and among one of the smallest and lightest headsets on the market. It performed well in environments free of radio noise. Maintained a very persistent connection with the Nokia N95. Giving the BH-800 an average RF, but that is expected out of such a tiny package. The BH-800 fully integrates with the N95 as expected. Volume control, mute and voice dialing were professionally implemented. However, a good amount of credit goes to the N95.

Bottomline. If you want a headset to complement your ultra sleek convergence device (Nokia N95) the BH-800 is for you. It will maintain the clean modern appeal of the N95 and you will be the electronic fashion king.

Keyword. Bluetooth for the metro-sexual.

95% of the time...?! not 100?

I was in dubai today and I was in one shop where all the BT Headsets they were selling were all FAKE. They told me themselves that all their headsets are all imitations of the real ones, and all were being sold with approximately USD 20 price tag, including the BH-900 and BH-800 which we all know cost more than USD100...

The Fake Nokia BT Headsets are BH-900, BH-800, BH-600, BH-700, then there is even a micro headset like which they call BH-901, then there were BH-801, 802,and 803 respectively..

there were also some fake samsung WEP-200 and 300, and even 400, and also some fake SE and even a fake moto headsets...

some pics i was able to take using my 5500, it's a bit blurry, I took it secretly...

FAKE NOKIA BH-901 (NOTE:Nokia has not even released a BH-901 yet)

FAKE BH-900 & 700 IN BOXES (Notice the different box, no picture of a guy wearing the headset)

ALL FAKE BT HEADSETS (All looks like the real thing

THESE ARE THE FAKE BH-801/802/803

I am sure that many of these are available in the internet, and most likely those that are having problems with their BT Headsets are most likely been sold fake Nokia BT Headsets...

I use mostly Nokia BT Headsets and the fakes that they have really looks like the original, I can not tell the difference at all... The BIG difference is as always with most fakes, the PACKAGING... this is where you can separate the real from the fake, unfortunately if you are buying from the internet you won't be able to tell the difference, specially if you have not seen the original packaging with your own eyes... well, at least now you are warned...

Posted by: angel_wing0

yip thanks for the warnings! tons of those on ebay too

like angel said, it is smaller and comes with a necklace cradle and is elegant coz the outer cover is metal, however the BH-900 has DSP, hence it sounds better and it block out noise and you sound more natural to the other party you are calling...

Posted by: angel_wing0

the thing is the colour with the bh-800, both are nice imo~!

just received the bh 800 today... it is AWESOME.. .was using it all day and you don't even feel it in your ear.. great quality, great size, and looks great.

it has great technology alright, but it has 1st generation BT HS in terms of weight and size... it is great if you work in a noisy environment...

You can virtually use it anywhere but it's easily the most uncomfortable headset I've ever owned. It was gone in 4 days..... ...and the audio was not good either. It sounded like someone was talking through a tin can.

sorry, but it very difficult to tell and there is no stopping the seller to get pictures from other sites that are from original ones... but with that price, i have a very big doubt that it is original, but it is just my opinion though...

Posted by: angel_wing0

yip and no one bought it

Posted by: argylesocks

well, to be on the safe side, i bought it locally for $99. but to be honest, i wasnt all that impressed. i got alot of static, and my range was no way near 30feet.
if i had the phone in my right pocket, and the headset on my left ear, there was alot of static... annoyingly so.

i returned it last night (by the way, its now on sale at compusa for $60).
i ended up buying a Plantonics 655. havent played with it much, but its a noticable improvement over the BH-800.

thanks

Posted by: angel_wing0

u probably got a bad one imo.

Posted by: friedbrains

most probably... the BH-900 is soo much better actually in terms of sound quality incoming and outgoing, i just might buy one again...

Posted by: 4mynikka

I just got the BH-200 and paired it with my E61i, The reception is okay, the fit is good but the range of 30 feet is not even close. more like 10 feet. It starts cracking and not sound very nice once you exceed the 10 feet mark. But for the price it's okay.

Posted by: friedbrains

It happened... the thing that I dreaded most...

It looks like every body is now wearing a BT HS!!!

it used to be only cool geeks and techno savvy individuals uses bt hs...

i love it when people look at me, when i just press one button to answer my ringing phone, and i absolutely amazes everybody when i do voice-dial... now, although i have seen some buggers who for the life of them, cant do voice-dial but still everybody seems like having a BT HS stuck on their ear from any bt co with a blue-thing name on it and so forth...

it is a sad day for a bt freak like me...

and since i am not buying bt hs anymore, i will wait for this Nokia HF-300

The dealer gave me a Moto H700 with my N95. I don't know whether to give it away as a birthday gift or sell it on ebay.

I recently got the BH-900 for myself and BH-800 for my dad. BH-900 is nicer quality, but the BH-800 looks so much nicer and it comes with a necklace.

I've been using the bh-800 for a year or so and it still gets attention due to its size. Performance wise it's OK at best in a controlled environment and absolutely worthless in windy conditions. I just made the mistake of trying a Jabra for the last time and it's ready to go up on the bay as it suffers from the usual Jabra snaps and cracks when the phone is more than 6 inches from it. The form factor and comfort is the best I've ever owned and it's too bad because I've been avoiding the ugly bh-900 since its release....looks like I have to finally give it a shot as I recently had a jawbone, moto h9, and jabra 5020.

Brotha, I understand how ugly the BH-900 is, but its the best I've ever used. I ordered another one 2 days ago because if something ever happens to mine I will have another one. 67.99 shipped from Amazon. It will eat your BH-800 for lunch. I never could force myself to like it. It was horrible in the sound department. FYI, I have never had to slide the boom out on the BH-900. No need to. And it is LOUD LOUD LOUD.

Posted by: friedbrains

yup, bh-900 all the way!

Posted by: ihatecingular

as an FYI compusa has a bunch of auctions on ebay for bh-900's I just picked one up for 27.50 ...pretty good deal...

I paid less than $20 shipped for mine. $15 for the BH-800 for my dad and about $8 for the BH-200 I got just because it was so cheap.

Thankfully everyone thinks those prices must be for counterfeit headsets.

I have a moto H300 that I bought for $20 refurbished, worked with my n-gage, N70 and it should work with my e61i, havent tried yet.

anyways, it works with all the S60 bluetooth handsfree features, sounds quality is alright, and it uses AAA's for power.

if you just want something cheap, its not a bad buy

Posted by: angel_wing0

$20 is a good deal, but a moto *shakes head*

Posted by: angel_wing0

i want to get another pair of nokia a2dp headsets...any good suggestions?

woiw insane!

You can buy the 590e for like $75 and it doesnt come with the adapter that makes anything with a 3.5mm jack stereo BT. Or you can get the 590a version and you get the adapter with it.

Has anybody tried out the Plantronics Pulsar 260?

http://www.plantronics.com/north_am...SFFAKAEZ WQIV0

I want something that I can wear as a professional, so forget any of the headband/headphone solutions. I've been using the Itech R35 clip with my N73, but I only bought it because A2DP wasn't available then. I like the Plantronics because I can clip the remote to a belt and the mic to a shirt collar, whereas the R35 I'm pretty much forced have that fat mic (with the controls and glaring blue LED) bulging out at the collar.

Does anybody have any other A2DP solutions that are practical in a workplace setting?

No, but I'm considering getting the 260 you mentioned. Saw it on Amazon for about half the price of Plantronic's webiste. http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-P...89618064&sr=8-1
Have to wonder though, with this low of a price, could it be counterfeit like so many headsets on Ebay...
