Have an L1200 with LG Contents Bank(1.0.7.??). USB cable drivers installed. When I connect, then attempt to download a file, I get an error:"CME-3". The phone display shows data transfer started, then goes blank as program errors. Tried LG 1100 software as suggested in another thread. That would give the same error while attempting to connect. Never could get past that. Newer version connects most of the time, but download errors out always. Also the USB driver USB/Serial Bridge defaults to COM5 with no conflicts. Any ideas. I have spent hours and am running out of patients.....thanks

I just got my lg 1200 and simply wanted to transfer some ringtones into it. I am using the lg content bank, i got it to connect, and when i try to download an mmf i get the infamous error: CME-3. Ur probably having the same problem as me and it is funny how no one can help. Hopefully someone will respond to this stupid transfer file problem. Why can't the phone simply accept the files without a program like the simens sl56(cingular).

Actually I am able to transfer images and tones (.mmf) which are included in the Contents Bank. Just can't transfer included Java games. I am using version 2.2.7.04.02-EN. I think I found a link to this version on this forum somewhere. There are older versions around; this worked right away with a data cable.

Since we finally figured out how to get the ringtones and pics into the phone, how do you get the games in? Is there another program? Did you figure that out as well?

And also, how come the pictures are not the exact length? Its not really full screen as the ones already on the phone. How do you stretch them? thanks for the help

When you open an image to transfer, there should be a window in the upper L/H side of program, alaong with a 0-100% table. You adjust the image to fit into the window which should emmulate your phone display. Has worked on all images for me. The only way to get Java games is to get them via WAP online. I would love to get them from my PC to save web time....

Thanks for your help. Oh and i finally received an email i sent LG. It said that the Lg contents bank is not designed to trasnfer ringtones. Lg sad that there is no way to transfer ringtones from Pc to phone through either IRda or data cable. Funny HUH?

I read everything you wrote above and still didnt understood how u fixed the problem "error: CME-3" ? I am trying to connect cell phone to PC and it doesnt work giving me the above error. I have f9100 can some one please help me? THANK YOU!
